Cultural Night 1: Museums Galleries

Cultural Night. 6pm til midnight.

Venue: Bergen city centre, indoors and out, various places around the city. Variety of Cultural activities, usually free, to such places as museums, concerts. Guided walks, dance, theatre. Hanseatic Musuem, Bergen Art Museum, etc.

Night hiking and concert in The Natural History Collections. 
Bergen Museum, Natural History Collections are named Bergen top 
Museum of BT's big competition for 2011.
During Culture Night can be an exciting night walk with the torch around the museum's nooks and crannies. There is also the opportunity to visit the museum's many exhibits. 
So come and join behind the scenes at the Natural History Collections. Remember flashlight!

The Hanseatic Museum
The Hanseatic Museum is one of the oldest and best-preserved buildings in Bergen, and shows how the Hanseatic merchants in Bergen lived and acted for several hundred years ago
19:00 - 20.00: A living museum of "residents". Has the Hanseatic merchants come back to work? Experience how the merchants worked and used the house.

21.00 to 23.00: Mini Concert: In ngrid Eriksen Hagen (clavichord) invites you to an intimate music experience with domestic music of the last half of the 1700s.

Leprosy, St. George's Hospital 
Experience one of Scandinavia's most unique and best preserved hospital environment from the 1700s.
The Norwegian leprosy is part of a global history of an illness that his strong stigma has led to ostracism and humiliation of millions of people. Between 1850 and 1900, Bergen was an international leprosy, with three leprosy hospital and the largest concentration of patients in Europe. 
Tours at. 18.00 and 19.00. Otherwise, on your own. 
Theatre studio and Speaking Theatre have collaborated on the show "No stars at the entrance to hell," the poet Gunvor Hofmo. "No stars at the entrance to Hell" is a modernist theater performance with music.

With: Boris Rodriguez Hauck, Solvei Stoutland and Kristian Gold Aasen. Performance is threefold starting at. 20.00, 21.00 and 22.00. Limited seats.

Front St George's Church
The church has been an important part of the hospital system since the Middle Ages. The current church building was rebuilt after the fire in 1702. With its simple décor and special history is the beautiful timber building is a rare element in the historic Bergen. The altarpiece from 1733 shows Jesus and the ten lepers.
