Young & Loving 2012! retrospective one international glass exhibition.International glass art to Bergen. From 10 August to 23 September, Bergen venue for a major exhibition of international glass art through simultaneous display of two locations in the city center: S12 gallery and workshop in Skostredet 12 and Gallery Format Bergen shows together Young & Loving 2012! The exhibition displays the work of 10 glass artists and gives the audience a good idea of what's going on glass art scene in the Nordic countries and the world. Bergen Art Hall: Outdoor Exhibition
During Culture Night is the opening of Knut Henrik Henriksen's exhibition Echoes outside the Bergen Art Hall. To the first of Bergen Art Hall's shows outside of its own building this fall will Knut Henrik Henriksen take one of the city's most visible architectural landmarks: the monumental Town Hall in Bergen .
The exhibition runs until 4 november.

An international venue for production and showcasing work by artists and musicians in Bergen, Norway.
Bergen Kjøtt is a 4 – storey factory building of 2000 square meters, converted into studios for more than 100 artists and musicians. The Bergen Kjøtt venue is used for exhibitions, concerts and events and can facilitate up to 1000 audience members.
A cafe/bar is underway in the entrance area.
Initiator and primus motor for the project is Annine Birkeland, who runs Bergen Kjøtt through Bergen Contemporary Art Project (BCAP), on a not-for-profit basis.
Bergen Kjøtt was set up to provide an alternative space for professional artists and musicians in Bergen to work, meet and collaborate, as well as initiate and organise various events at the in house venue. Key aims for the Bergen Kjøtt community include professionalisation, exchanges of knowledge and internationalisation.
Visual arts initiatives at Bergen Kjøtt, including Never or Now festival, are organised by REAL Projects, an independent subgroup of BCAP, set up by Annine Birkeland in collaboration with visual artist Agnes Nedregard.
REAL projects is a non-profit initiative for bringing international visual artists to Bergen, Norway, and forming exchanges and collaborations with artists and organisers in Europe and beyond.
The aim of REAL Projects is to create spaces for dynamic meetings between artists and organisers from various disciplines and nationalities, to generate opportunities for collaborations and initiatives across borders. One of our our prime focuses is performance art, for its abilities for communication between artists and audiences, as well as its frequently multi-disciplinary nature.

B-Open - Open Studio
B-Open means open doors to the professional artists Bergen universe! Many of them are located in the atelier community with several floors of small and large labor caves. We have guides and a retro bus shuttled to them, every 20 minutes from Festival Square, between 18-24. The tour can easily be - and learn some more!
While waiting for the bus makes artists from Bergen art that you can both see, hear and touch. You can find them at the Festival Square and Michelsen. There you can hear stories of political sting in a tent, see 100 balloons being hung in hair and hear music from subtle instrument. The atelier communities can buy art at auction or garage sale, see buildings being transformed by video projections, see innovative children's theater or let children create sculptures with a straw, and infinitely more! Ingunn van Etten driver "rotations" and switch between to create paintings,
sculpture and books. As a painter and illustrator, she works in different techniques, mostly acrylic. As a sculptor, she works primarily with clay that she torch and then paint. "Ingunn van Etten is largely a visual poet, akin to the Surrealists have her pictures humor and satire, a naive view becomes familiar and unfamiliar visual forms put together in her very own logic."
