C2

Studying  finally for my C2 equivalency in Norwegian language fluency. Lots of books, reading, listening, speaking, talking, writing, more reading and more listening. Repeat.

This is my Påske Easter treat to myself: blogging time.

  1. Update: Five months with hardly time to study adequately. Not as improved (see: fluent!) as I´d hoped! Currently, am spending from 3-6 hours every day studying Norwegian *. Yesterday, strained muscle/pinched nerve in right neck/shoulder still bothering me. Studied 6hours. Then treated myself to a long hot shower, rush off to meet up with friends in Soreide/Fana area, which for me is two buses, bybanen to end, plus a taxi there. Had a fantastic time, walked back with friend to bus area, took bus/bybanen, then taxi from sentrum home.

...Bergen food festival, Coastal Ships, Seasonal sales everywhere...post that for today´s date.

  2. * Currently try to study 3-6 hours every day, including:

    -300 word essay
-translating a few articles in any Norwegian newspaper
-speaking, repeating and using recall only
    -listening
    -reading, writing, vocabulary, colloquialisms, music

-course studies (Ny i Norge, På Vei, Stein På Stein), social studies misc text books. Both actual book courses and online

-practice with friends and Norwegians. Local dialects here are numerous, just within the island and immediate mainland. Some of what I learn online is Kolbotn, Oslo, Trondheim dialects also.

-translating websites of interest. Most recent one is a traditional, historic stone pub in Trondheim.

-misc, whatever else helps or is of interest
